So this is, and always will be, one of my favorite skateboards of all time. Cease and Desist did a great job on the reissue (or knock off) of this Matt Hensley deck. This skateboard reminds me so much of my childhood days, skating all day, every day! I have this Hensley skateboard in my collection now but the C&D deck I have is red and the one I had when I was a kid was natural wood color. But I don’t really care, its close enough to satisfy my need to re-live my “glory days”.
I did not know that this deck was called the H-Street “Vista” until writing this blog post. I always thought it was called the “Matt Hensley Pole Swing“. I guess it makes sense since it says Vista on the sign… I read a quick article about it and how it represents Matt Hensley growing up in Vista and its vibrant street skating scene. It’s pretty cool to know that there is some representation behind it.
You can usually find these Hensley decks in all different colors on Ebay, I have seen a variety. The thing about it is that they claim to only have released 50 of them but they seem to be pretty abundant. This is one deck that I would like to get a count on so if you have a numbered Cease and Desist Hensley Skateboard in your possession, post the number in the comments below and we will try to keep track of them. I personally own #4!
